It?s a symptom of hard economic times that people tighten their belts. This is as it should be. But when business tightens belts it is often the checks and balances that disappear and those who cut corners most are the ones who survive or even flourish. Some cut corners further than it is sensibly safe. This can be very dangerous, especially when you put thousands of lives, human and animal, flora and fauna, at real risk of chemically-induced death.
