During their trip, the three young osguards are almost murdered in an attack by anti-USSTAP forces, backed by Scolonian technology. The incident forces the eighty year-old Michael out of retirement and back to the front lines. He must create and execute a plan that will save his grandchildren, eradicate the threat to Earth and salvage what is left of USSTAP?s relationship with the planet?s population. But there?s a hitch; the Scolonian Force Field surrounding Earth prevents Michael from directly intervening.
