We are all, at the base, human. What defines us, what differentiates us, are the stories we tell each other and ourselves. What we believe to be true, and hold as our anchors in this world of turmoil, in the end unite us and divide us. Transcendence makes us look beyond what we perceive, whether the human condition, or merely our animal nature. We are, each and every day, presented with choices. How we handle them, overcome them, or even succumb to them, is ultimately a reflection of that nature. These stories and poems come from around the globe, and are written as a collaboration in and of transcendence.
