This book explores the resolution of armed conflicts occurring within individual countries from a theoretical legal perspective. Included are thematic case studies from Darfur, North-South Sudan, Uganda, Côte d'Ivoire, Colombia, Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Bosnia and Israel-Palestine, emphasizing the role of peace processes in constructing legal norms.

He is the author of International Criminal Justice in bello?: The ICC between Law and Politics in Darfur and Northern Uganda (2011).
