Our Purpose Driven God

The driving passion and eternal purpose of the Father is the supreme exaltation of His Son. What has this supreme exaltation of the Son in all of His magnificent glory to do with the believer? Everything! It is the purpose, dear believer, for your existence in Heaven and on Earth. Through union with Christ, you are the New Creation of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17), you are the workmanship of the Father (Eph. 2:10); the One New Man, created and chosen of God in Christ unto this one good and perfect work of God. They mystery of which is made manifest by the Father revealing in your soul, the apple of His eye, the object of His rest and satisfaction, which is the Son Himself. The good and perfect work, the finished work of God is nothing other or less than Christ Himself. It is ?Christ in you the expectation of glory.? Whose expectation and whose glory? The Father! It has always been and forever is the very heart beat of God, the driving purpose of the Father, that His Son not only dwell in those who are his, but that He also be revealed, manifested and supremely exalted in His Body, the Church. Psalms 87:3, ?Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.?
