Lenny: a Texas Church Choir Goes on a Crime Spree.

Publisher Marketing: On the highway between Abilene and Amarillo a solitary man is walking. With only a black satchel over his shoulder, he is noticed by some locals on his approach to the small town of Durbin. Leonard Morris walks with a limp and is missing a finger, but he's willing to work. The minister of the Apostles Creed church welcomes Lenny and hires him to replace the shingles on the roof. Vince Gault, the church treasurer, joins Lenny in the task. Vince learns that Lenny's past is dark but his intentions are pure. As the job is finished and friendships grow, a tornado rips across the panhandle of Texas. It is followed by a flood that covers the State. The Apostles Creed sanctuary is torn apart, the new shingles scattered. Lenny wants to rebuild the church that was lost in the storm. With Lenny at the helm, the choir accepts his challenge to raise enough money to build a new church. Lenny has an idea that comes from his checkered past; when he was desperate for money as a young man he went to where the money was kept...banks. The choir members find inspiration in scripture, sing hymns.... and become bank robbers. The FBI doesn't know what to do. Middle aged women wearing biker chick outfits are walking out with the cash. No one is hurt, no two perpetrators look alike. After six heists in three days the crime spree ends. The choir deposits the cash and gather once more to sing. "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me." After counting the loot, Vince groans, "It's not enough." His daughter has an idea. Use social media to spread the news. The heists are posted as a righteous cause and online comments agree. Facebook and Twitter light up with support and donations to her website bank account fly in at light speed. Now with an abundance of cash the bank robbers return the loot to the banks, build the church and send Lenny to a seminary where he becomes an ordained minister. Lenny isn't a stranger any more.
