The Dormie House

The Dormie House is an intriguing fictionalized diary that details the quest of an amateur golfer to speak with the spirits of renowned golfers of the past. As the narrator visits golf courses around the globe, he recounts his supernatural experiences, subtly educates readers about the history of golf, and shares thoughts about what matters most in golfing and in life. Carson Weill, as a young boy, innocently forms a beautiful friendship with a dormouse he names Jacque. While asleep, Jacque reveals to Carson a special rhythm from a nursery rhyme that grants Carson magical putting prowess. After watching Carson's magical putting, the protagonist begins a fantastic series of adventures filled with notable experiences. He sweeps away much of the mental dust left behind by the evils of modern technology, and begins instead to embrace the mystical and magical events in the games past. When the protagonist meets with Carson, and Jacque's spirit, 50 years on, they all rejoice in a breathtaking display of golf magic in plain sight of the Dormie House.
