Congressman Raul Rodriguez unexpectedly discovers that he has a six-year-old niece named Gabriela Perez, the daughter of a much younger stepsister named Lucia Gant. The Gant family has never been an active part of Raul's life, but Gabriela's grandfather, Harrison Gant, is in desperate need of help. Tomas Perez, Gabriela's father, has brutally murdered his ex-wife, Lucia, and fled the country with Gabriela. As a freshman Congressman with another election coming up, Raul is not in a position to provide overt help for Gant. But he knows who can. After few phone calls and a face-to-face meeting in Key West, investigators Gloria Tomlin and Sandy Raybuck agree to take the contract with Gant, and Gina Kelly and Dallas Kincade agree to provide assistance. Thus begins a 6000 mile odyssey through the far reaches of the Caribbean to rescue Gabriela and avenge the murder of Raul's stepsister.
