What the hell !!! Those three simple words entirely sum up the daily thoughts/frustrations of Long Island Rail Road riders everywhere. From delays, to service breakdowns, to ongoing misinformation; the daily riders of the busiest transit system in the United States endure unending abuse and horrid service while still being forced to pay exorbitant monthly fees for the "pleasure" of taking the trains to work. With angst and annoyance at all-time highs as the so-called "Summer of Hell" began in July, it is time all LIRR riders take matters into their own hands and express their anger at those running this inefficient system. It was with this in mind that I developed the LIRR Summer of Hell/Daily Hell Complaint Logbook where you can jot down the date you rode, the service disruptions you endured, how late you were to your destination, and more. Then when you wish, submit you book by mailing it to the LIRR headquarters so that you did your part in showing how terrible the system really is. I hope this serves as an outlet for your frustrations; while at the same time hoping this will lead to positive change.
