Adulterous minister?s fall from grace not quite the end of the story New author shares his own journey from moral failure to repair and restoration.
LONGWOOD, FL ?Spiritual and moral failures within church leadership are epidemic today. When a minister falls, does anyone pick him back up? Does anyone even care? If you feel you are too far gone for forgiveness, believing that the ones you have wounded will never forgive you, take heart. One man?s life story could be the inspirational testimony you have been searching for. Wipe your tears, gather the strength to pursue forgiveness, and discover the next journey of your life, through the mercy and grace of the Lord.
"I have come to realize that I was so caught up in the exterior theatrics of my ministry that I did not let my spiritual roots run deep enough by working and cultivating my spiritual life. The enemy came and lopped me off like a shallow weed; I went into a spiritual free fall, careening down the mountain," shares author Kenneth Walls. His first book, Falling Off the Mountain, A Minister's Fall From Grace (Sept. $12.99, 1-59781-515-2, $20.99, 1-59781-516-0), is a spiritual success story taking you through the life of this former Assemblies of God minister. After an adulterous affair in 2000, the author lost his whole family. It was through a fellow pastor, acting out of compassion and faith, that the Walls family was cared for. This pastor took them through a true time of repentance. The author can now celebrate that after nearly five years all relationships, including those with his former wife and all of his children, are now restored. God has even restored Walls in a new area of ministry.
When all seemed hopeless God found him and brought him back. After his tragic moral failure, Walls discovered what the mercy and grace of God are really all about?and he shares how the Lord helped him climb back up the mountain. Glimpse the awesome extension of God?s hand of mercy. Written with vulnerability and no finger pointing toward those who hurt him in the past, the book uses Walls? personal testimony to explore helpful ideas for readers who want to work toward a solution in their marriage relationship. His hope is to provide help and healing. Walls earnestly hopes to reach out to men and women to warn them against continuing with wrong choices. This book is also meant for couples who are having marital conflicts, to speak to them before they "step off that cliff."
Kenneth R. Walls was licensed and ordained with the Assemblies of God for fifteen years until his moral failure in 2000. After coming back to the Lord he has enjoyed being a part of a great church, Living Waters fellowship led by Pastor Dale Smith. God has now matured and blessed his marriage. Ken and Kim Walls have owned Rocket Coffee Inc. since 2002. They have five children in their blended family: Kassandra, Kenny Jr., Trista, Ethan, Matthew, and their grandson Lamar. The Walls family make their home in Bremerton, Washington.
