Haight on the Theory of Plasticity

Plasticity is the theory that inanimate matter is malleable by an organizing force, one that later manifests itself as life. Life directed itself by trial and error to organize, to "evolve." Over a lengthy period, life evolved to produce analytic intelligence which can deal with abstract thought, becoming free of trial and error learning. Analytic thought is the precursor to awareness of being aware, of being an aware source.
