Career - The Art of Moving On is a professional development book intended for academics who are contemplating and perhaps considering changing their careers, and who would like to learn more about their career skills and transition processes. It is also intended for leaders, consultants and other people engaged in career-related matters. The book contains many cases, practical experiences, advice and tools for how to better understand and work with career development.

There is a deep existential vein in all human work, in our understanding of career and in the way in which we choose to develop as professionals.
Work life is an integral part of most people's lives, especially during periods of moving on to something new. During these transition phases, we build bridges between the old that we are leaving behind and the new stretching out ahead of us. Transition periods are both important and interesting. Important for how we either stumble or move forward successfully into next phase or level of our work lives. And interesting because when transitioning, we reflect deeply and intensely on how to navigate the situation. Thus, we need very good career skills during these transition periods.
