When a western trapper meets a shipping company that is somewhat evil in nature the fun begins. A lonely trapper is traded an Indian woman for Golden spurs. His only interest in her is for cheap labor at the beginning however later on he develops a strong affection for her.
A mighty sailing ship sails its way around the tip of south america to buy and sell things along it's way to distribute furs from the Northwest coast to the East coast and across the pond to Europe. The rough and tough captain has a crew of dam near pirates who play havoc along the way as the stop at different ports of call.
