Everyone Deserves a Second Chance
H G Bailey
Three years after working for her cheating girlfriend, Glynnys Smart has no job, or home, after being dumped by her. Close friend, Josie, persuades her to go for another live-in job, at the Second Chance Animal Rescue Centre in an isolated part of Dorset.
Manager, Sarah Barraclough, suggests Glynn works as a volunteer for a day. Desperate to prove she can be self-sufficient when the job is offered to her - she accepts, but soon finds an attraction to her new boss is hard to ignore. Sarah is also determined to fight the attraction she finds in Glynn and after an unexpected night of lust with her, she encourages her to leave. Unaware of her employer's angst, Glynn is determined to stay while the other staff close ranks against her.
A chance visit to the hospital, where her friend Kim works, and the arrival of a flea-ridden mongrel, Glynn falls in love with, gives her the courage to admit her feelings to a reluctant Sarah.
