Zeiran was a thief, an assassin, a soldier, but never a hero. His grisly talents may have been appreciated in the uprising against Mad Queen Atra's arcane puppets, but even his fellow rebels considered him a curse.

When a failed assault on the queen's largest factory leaves the rebellion leaderless and in tatters, their only hope for victory is a mythical artifact with the ability to negate magic: the Null Device. If they can find it, if they can shut down the queen's sorcery, then Zeiran can kill her and save the world. He can finally do something good for once in his life.

The only problem is, as Zeiran begins to see through the lies he was raised to believe, he's not sure saving the world and doing what's right are necessarily the same thing.
