Political intrigue, coupled with insatiable greed bring a threat of catastrophic proportions to the Lakota tribe?s sacred ground, the Pipestone Quarry. When a plot is uncovered to take a mining operation into the Pipestone Quarry in Minnesota, a dedicated trio of activists, Kevin Christopher, Michaela Campbell, and Matthew Little Crow, band together in a desperate effort to thwart the schemes of a sitting Senator and a shadowy group that operates under the cover of a corporate giant, International Mining and Manufacturing. Their task crosses paths with a marginalized militant arm of the American Indian Movement as well as those harboring vestiges of the hatred of the mid-Sixties youth ?peace? movement. Violence and murder focus attention on the perceived value of the Quarry?s materials as time to save the sacred Lakota shrine dwindles.
