Petronella McKee loves two things; baking and history, not necessarily in that order. She has dreamed of living in the past until she is unwittingly transported to the 19th century and the divided loyalties of Martinsburg, Virginia during the Civil War. She comes face to face with Civil War legends, including her great-great-great grandfather who is now a suitor for the 19th century incarnation of her ancestor. As she learns to navigate this new world, she draws closer to the man who protects the small town and ferrets out the conflicting loyalties of the town's residents. Can she allow herself to love a man from another time and will fate allow them to remain together?
