Will Watson grew up thinking he was an orphan, certain his mother had thrown him away. A mysterious invitation sends him and his friend Jake on THE ROAD WEST. On the way their lives are endangered. Then Will's family is threatened. Someone does not want Will and Jake to get where they are going. Franklin Percival Wills was murdered in 1849 but he is still hanging around the old homeplace. He's lonely, bored, claustrophobic, afraid of the dark, and he misses his family. By the way, don't ever call him Percy. He hates that name. Will Watson doesn't believe in ghosts; he doesn't believe in much of anything until he finally finishes his journey at the end of THE ROAD WEST.
