Devil's Whirlwind
William Brown
Trevor Rains, a widower, and former Special Forces captain, arrives in Scottsdale, Arizona, to enjoy his twenty-year high school reunion. He is unaware of the life-threatening danger he is about to encounter in the 'West's most western town.' A wealthy influential classmate, and an old Indian friend, persuades him to help the Indian Association from losing their museum, and find those responsible for desecrating and stealing valuable artifacts from their sacred burial grounds. The mystery deepens when two of his classmates are found murdered. Trevor is surprised when he discovers the FBI has sent an old female acquaintance of his to investigate the thefts. To add to his quandary, an old high school sweetheart shows up unexpectedly at the reunion and wants to pick up where they left off twenty-years ago. In the process of the investigation, Trevor encounters the worst of human torture, and has to rely on his old Special Forces training to survive. To his dismay, he discovers that murder and larceny are the modus operandi of some of his old high school acquaintances and teachers.
