SILENT GUNS is the interwoven story of two men?Anthony Trent, former Navy officer, a very unlikely terrorist, and Sam Simons, pragmatic Chief of Police tasked with thwarting a threat to the city of Seattle. Sam Simons races against difficult odds to stop the shelling of the city and aids the U. S. Navy in an attempt to capture the terrorists while seeking the cause behind the act. The story brings together six former, disenchanted, middle-aged Navy men seeking to relive their past. Anthony Trent, disgruntled, seeks revenge, and is their leader. The plot follows a compelling set of characters: a heart-warming sea captain, an unsavory con man, a lovable dog, and a cast of Navy men setting about to commandeer the battleship. Along the way, of course, the usual love affair, unfortunately, destined to succumb to Trent?s overpowering need to succeed with the caper. Both the city government and the Navy find themselves, shall I say, challenged. And, we find a Police Chief strangely sympathetic to the terrorists; yet bound by his duty to stop them.
