This guide was developed to provide aspiring observers a method they could apply to conduct their own searches for Minor Planets and Comets. With an increase in observations, this will provide a greater understanding of the world around us, and allow us to know more about the threats with in our solar system. If we can broaden the knowledge of detection by informing amateur astronomers as to how this can be done, the effectiveness of the efforts will increase substantially.
