Yohanan and his friends have never seen the rabbi from Nazareth. But when several of his disciples preach in their village, they become convinced he's their promised Messiah. The small band of friends grows closer as they meet to discuss the rabbi's teachings and the strange stories they've heard. Then Yohanan's son shatters his legs and can no longer walk. His family takes him to Jerusalem for the Passover, in order that their Messiah might heal him. They arrive, however, only to find tension growing in the city as their savior moves toward his crucifixion.
