The Resurrection of Christ: Christ - from a Pragmatic Viewpoint

Publisher Marketing: What really happened at the crucifixion? Was Jesus literally resurrected? In this book, Volume 3 of the series 'Christ - from a pragmatic viewpoint', the suggestions and proposals of numerous writers have been collected and integrated to provide the most logical response to those questions. Most of the book, however, is concerned with what happened after the resurrection: did Jesus ascend? did he disappear over the mountains to the east? did he remain around for a few weeks, or perhaps another 50 years? A popular theory over the past century has been that he went to India. This is not a new invention, however; traditional oral histories and folk stories have been around for centuries that serve as the foundation for this theory. So, in this book, we follow his potential path from Jerusalem to India through numerous intermediary stops (as recounted by several ancient Persian and Indian sources). Again, as with the recounting of the key historical events in Christ's life (Volume 1 - The Life of Christ), and the numerous miracles attributed to Christ (Volume 2 - The Miracles of Christ), the approach is to take an approach that does not require a suspension of the laws of nature. This makes it possible for those who doubt (or reject) the concept of Christ's deity to still follow both the story and the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.
