America's most famous werewolf legend lives on in this frightening tale. Ben Thomas recently lost his job as a New York City detective. Forced to return to his hometown of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, he nearly runs off the road when a large hairy animal dashes out in front of him. The encounter reignites the flame to a local legend of a monster that supposedly lives in the nearby woods; a legend that the locals shun whenever it is spoken of. When a half eaten body is discovered not far from the place where Ben encountered the creature, the former detective soon finds himself caught between the hateful prejudice of the locals and the hungry eyes of the Beast.
