This book is not about the people in it so much as what they do and why they do it, what motivates them. Where I can show it, I do. Where I need great author support, I bring in other points of view. Why? We are all different. What motivates one person may not another. I am hoping you gain some coffee house savvy from this book and pass it on to others with your next cup of coffee. The acts of love and kindness-no matter how small- can change lives forever, especially at the point of need. No one knows for sure when that point can happen. The smallest action at the right time can change it all. Everyone has something to give. When you realize your gift, you will know what to do with it in your own way. That is the secret of making a difference in another person's life. The call is your call. The person affected by what you do may be known at impact or not until much later, or possibly not known by you until someone tells you long after the fact. What is important is that someone knows that difference, and it changed a life!As a teacher of writing and literature, I have read much of what the famous authors have written, such as: Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Ignazio Silone, Albert Camus, Andre Gide, Johann Wolfgang van Goethe, Alan Paton, Graham Greene, Ivan Turgenev, O. E. Rolvaag, Judith Guest, Honor de Balzac, A. S. Neill, Andre Malraux, to name a few. This non-fiction book is based on people known with stories told about them in general ways as not to identify or embarrass anyone. This is only my perception of life. The book is intended to enrich life.
