This is the tale of a regular guy with an extraordinary story. It's my story. My name is Charles Cook and between these covers I have chronicled the 12 months of insanity that were my life from June 2015 - June 2016. During that time I had my second mechanical heart implanted in my chest. After I recovered from that surgery I was placed on the transplant list in August 2015 and I received a heart transplant in April 2016.
