There was a time in Vietnam when I said enough is enough. I had had it with all of the killing, the maiming and the insanity that goes along with war. In a conversation, one day, a friend asked me what would I do if I were a POW. I said that there was no doubt that I would escape. He said, "How would I get back to civilization?" I didn't have an answer and it took me a lot of thinking how I would get back once I escaped. This book gives the best scenario that I could come up with on the subject. The main character, Sean Martin was very disillusioned with the war and wanted out. During a brutal battle he was captured and made into a POW. He escaped a few months later and made his way back to civilization in a way that no one would have guessed. It was a life-changing adventure for him and his Lieutenant as they worked their way back to the world from which they came.
