Dream It Loud
Robert Vega
Everyone dreams. Dreams can be pleasant escapes from the harsh realities of life-or they can be terrifying nightmares, causing our hearts to race and our minds to scream.
John has had dreams of both types, but lately there has been something different about his experiences. Something weird is happening in his dreams. They feel vivid and real-especially when compared to his humdrum waking existence. The people he meets when he's dreaming seem to have their own lives, wishes, and wants. John has even fallen in love there-clearly an impossibility. Is he losing his mind?
John knows that no one in his life would believe his tales about the amazing quality of these dreams. His wife, Emma, only nitpicks and ridicules. His boss thinks he's crazy. The only person who offers understanding is the mysterious Ben, an old man who eerily has a little too much insight into John's life.
As John and Ben endeavor to figure out the secret of the dreams, John will have to decide what in his life is worth fighting for. Are his job and his marriage making him happy-or are the dreams urging him to rethink his future?
