As a former substitute teacher and adjunct, I deemed it necessary to compose a book on my experiences in the classroom. I am deeply concerned about the state of America's public school system; higher education in America; and what I perceive to be many students' lack of understanding the teacher-student relationship, and what it truly means to be a student. Therefore, I decided to write this book.
