The scruffy and cynical Derek Blackstone, a Detective Inspector with the Vancouver Police Department but all the way from West Yorkshire England, is back with a bang...literally. Vancouver has come under attack from unknown protagonists suffering from three deadly bombings in very public places. Blackstone believes it will be dealt with by Special Forces but despite his best efforts to avoid any involvement finds himself and his side-kick DS Tony Hancock front and center of the investigation. Meanwhile there is the pesky issue of two murders of pre-teen little girls to be dealt with. Much more up his conventional alley.
