Annais grew up in a land dominated by werewolves and ruled by vampires and where a human's only value was the work they could do. However, on a full moon night, everything changed for her when she struck down a werewolf's mate. As events unfold she has to make a choice about whom to trust and whom to fight against. When she becomes deathly ill, she learns that her mother had lied to her about who she really is and has to decide what she wants to be. With the help of Captain Abraham Long, she begins a journey to learn more about herself and what it will take to rise up against the vampires that want her family destroyed.
