It's the week before Christmas and the town of Wrangler's Hill, Indiana, is celebrating. Andrew Jacobs, manager of the local mall, has engineered a raffle: On Christmas Eve one lucky person will walk away with a large cash prize and the keys to a brand-new Jeep Grand Cherokee. Except, as so often happens in Wrangler's Hill, things don't go according to plan. Four days before the winner is to be announced, the money is stolen from Andrew's safe. And the culprit, or culprits, stole the keys to the Jeep and drove it straight out of the mall and into the night. Now amateur sleuth Geneva Pomolo faces one of her toughest cases yet-featuring a surly and uncooperative mall Santa, vengeful former employees, and a chirpy but annoying photographer. On top of it all, Geneva has been enlisted to trail a wayward husband whose wife worries he might be cheating on her-and the truth will lead Geneva to a direct encounter with the Christmas thief. As the holiday approaches, families and businesses are fracturing and Geneva might be the only person capable of holding them together... assuming, of course, that she can make it till Christmas.
