Kanninun Siruththambu - Essence of the Commentaries

The essence of the commentaries of the Srivaishnava acharyas Nanjiyar and Nampillai, for the pasurams of Madhurakavi Azhvar called Kanninun Siruththambu. In these eleven pasurams, Madhurakavi Azhvar has shown the great devotion that he has for his acharya, Nammazhvar. The commentators have done tremendous service by delving into the mind of Madhurakavi Azhvar and breaking down the inner meanings of the pasurams by word and phrase. This is a meager attempt to translate the essence of these commentaries into English for easy reading and understanding. The purpose is to stimulate interest so that the reader may gain the interest to get the full meanings at the feet of a scholar or acharya in the traditional manner.
