After the Earth is decimated by an unknown force, Earth's remaining survivors now led by the Director of the Nexus Corporation, flee into the deepest reaches of space. Three ships transporting people in stasis, set out in search of a new planet to call home. In addition, one of the ships carries a special payload, The Atrium. This fully enclosed ark contains specimens and DNA for all remaining life on Earth. It is to be used to repopulate and build a sustainable new habitat on the planet Ceros SRV. On their journey, one of the ships is lost and the other two continue on their way until unfortunately passing their destination and ending up lost, far out into the void. The ship carrying The Atrium is severely damaged by asteroids and other debris, losing power and stuck in an endless drift. The power failure damages some of the life support capsules and opens others. One of the final crew members is awakened after the power drains all but the emergency systems and her capsule fails. Ada Emerson, one of Nexus' advisors is one of the remaining people alive on the ship. It now falls to her and her crew, to protect the Atrium and finish the mission or the memory of Earth will become lost forever.
