The Green Door

As she prepares to leave her North Yorkshire home, pregnant teenage Elizabeth goes into early labour while saying goodbye to the shore and the sea. In the midst of a storm she gives birth to Christopher and flees her parents' influence. Years after his mother's death, successful author Christopher Roberts returns to Windhurst for the sole purpose of seeing the village, the cliffs and the house where his mother grew up, and the strand where he was born. Memories of Elizabeth abound in the village and Chris learns more about his family than he ever expected.
