Darkness is all around us, and it can worm its way into the hearts and souls of good people. It tints the edges of their lives, and obscures paths that would lead to redemption-whether it's the patient woman hoping for just a glimpse of her husband stolen by a faerie queen, a teenager whose life is filled with nothing but abuse and neglect, or the god stripped of his believers by a new upstart. Often there is hope shined upon the darkness like a flickering ember waiting to burst into full, vibrant life. Sometimes the light dispels the darkness, and sometimes it illuminates pale shadows
