How To Replace Congress

"How To Replace Congress" takes a closer look at our Constitution and Bill of Rights. It's 2018, which for most folks, doesn't mean much. That is because most of us don't perform our job based on a two-year or six-year cycle. These even-numbered years may be the difference between another payout of $1,044,000.00, or the expiry of extraordinarily luxurious work conditions, amazing perks, and extended holidays. On June 21, 1788, the die-hard words, "We the People of the United States", were first scripted by our founding fathers. The United States Constitution was created as the document of supreme law, and a blueprint for how our people and country should be governed. We have come a long way since that hot summer when the sovereignty of our country was signed and sealed, but our Constitution has been used both as a beacon of light for democracy and as a tool of corruption and control. You may be surprised to hear that there are several parts of our Constitution that have been ignored and not enforced for decades. There is a critical and primary question that one must consider, in order to understand how profoundly our governing system has been misused and misunderstood. Did you know our United States Senators were set up into three classes? There are 33 - Class I, 33 - Class II, and 34 - Class III Senators. That comes to 100 Senators - two per state - and no state has two Senators from the same class. Which brings up a second important question: Why did the Constitution dictate that we should separate our Senators into three classes? Upon further research, the logic becomes crystal clear. This was done so that one-third of the Senate would be replaced every two years. According to the Constitution, every even-numbered year we have an entire class of Senators that need to vacate their office and not get re-elected. In November of 2018, 33 Class I Senate seats expire. In November of 2020, 33 Class II Senate seats expire. Then in 2022, 34 Class III Senate seats expire and their entire class is up for grabs; this was done so we should replace an entire class or one third of all Senators on even numbered years. Our nations government is outlined to be run by the rotation of public servants. It was not designed for a political party, special interest groups, big money, or people who go against the rules to stay in Congress for longer than six years. If we were to vote as patriots, with the true interests of our country at heart and not as loyalists whose interests are limited to those of one party or another, then we could actually help to instill morality back into Americas government. This may be easier said than done as roughly 40% of current voters have aligned themselves as loyalist with a political party. However, if we used a rule of "Six Years & Out of Politics" for everyone in any public office, it wouldn't require us to partake in the age-old party rivalry that has divided our country for decades and continues to instill separatism into our united nation. We need to remember that the word politician is a borrowed word from Greece and does not belong in American government. We need to remind our "elected/selected" officials they are public servants while in office. By observing the Constitutional mandate of six-year term limits, we would be helping to purge old-school thoughts from our legislative branch. Using this method would make lobbying and PAC money obsolete. It would also help to bring morality in America's government back to the core of patriotism and freedom that we are so sorely lacking today. God Bless America.
