Isolation: the Theme of Isolation in Richard Wright's Black Boy

This book is the thesis of the writer where she examines a well-known novel in the view of one aspect. At the beginning she tries to show us the position of black people in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. Later on she writes about the main character of Wright's Black Boy, who did not live the same life as the other black people in minority. She wants to find the reason why the Black Boy remained alone; he did not have any friends. The thesis-writer thoroughly takes into account all the Boy's relations: his relations to his family members, to other blacks, for example: in school, in the orphanage or in the church and finally his connections to whites. She also examines the Black Boy's inner life, his own thoughts about isolation. Her aim is to collect evidences on how the main character became isolated even from his family and what results this special life had.
