The aim behind this Research was to identify the factors which encourage teachers to continue teaching profession, by contributing to their job satisfaction and maintaining the morale. The elements, which attract people to keep their existing profession, were also analyzed. 288 secondary school teachers participated in the survey. The data was collected through questionnaire and was analyzed using SPSS. The major findings confirmed the opinion of respondents regarding their choice to choose teaching profession with respect to their age, qualification, annual income and experience. It also proved that there was only a difference of opinions regarding career choice among different groups of teachers with respect to their experiences. Participants rated salary below the scale midpoint, signifying their understanding that teachers do not earn a good salary. An important implication of this research is that present FIT-Choice scale, developed through framing suggestions and the general career choice literature within a motivational framework, provides an integrative and robust measure to guide future investigators, teaching as a career choice.
