Wesley's deportation to Australia calls for his father to pursue him to the utmost ends of the earth. The audience journey with Arthur as he travels to a new land and meets some very interesting characters. He has many adventures and makes some unusual friends. Colonial history and tragedy come alive. The story includes the cutting down of forests, aboriginal treatment, treatment of native animals, and the feeling of the developing cities and states around the time. There are lots of twists and turns in the book as Author takes on a new barbaric world. The fate of the characters is also guided by God. It is adventure packed with lots of drama and humor as an reserved English gentle man steps into the unknown.
