The Songbird of Western Pennsylvania: A Life Well-Lived for God & Family

A Brief, Inspirational, Biography: My grandmother's entire life has been about maintaining a dedication to God and family above-all, no matter the circumstances. She dedicated her life to selflessness, doing the right thing at all times, and staying true to her beliefs through the most difficult of times- a message that can, and should, resonate with every person. Throughout some major life-changing events, tumultuous interpersonal relationships, and hardships of prior to the Civil Rights movement...she endured! Many have. I may be partial, but I believe her story to be one of the many worth sharing. This is a narrative of a woman's inner and physical strength- having the resilience to live a proud and righteous life...no matter the obstacles. My grandmother, who is 98 years old as I write this, faces her mortality and is showing fragility and fear, as few have ever seen in her. Fewer know of the challenges that she overcame to become the woman she is in the moment I write these words. Her strong will, pious life, and unceasing integrity, is unsurpassed by any I've known through my own thirty-nine years of life and living. Perhaps her wisdom and spiritual fortitude in overcoming unpleasant circumstances and finding peace going into the Light, will inspire you, as it has the many lives she's touched over her very many decades of always 'doing the right thing'.
