The Last Godfather (aka Lultimo Padrino)

Made-for-TV Italian crime drama based on a true story. New boss of the Sicilian Mafia Bernardo Provenzano (Michele Placido) begins to build the organisation back up from its weakened state following the arrest of Salvatore 'Totò' Riina. With a somewhat less violent approach than his predecessor, Provenzano re-establishes criminal connections and the power of the Mafia, mainly working underground, hidden from the public eye.

A group of 25 police officers are tasked with bringing the unseen godfather's reign to an end.
