When Dan (Lance Henriksen), his daughter's fiancé, comes to visit, Chaney drugs him and removes his eyes so that he can transplant them into Nancy. After the operation fails, Chaney continues to search for new victims and, once he has taken their eyes, he imprisons them in his basement.
