The Last of Us - Season 1 is a post-apocalyptic drama series that follows characters Joel and Ellie as they embark on a dangerous journey through a devastated United States overrun with fungus-infected zombies. Reluctantly, Joel has agreed to protect the girl Ellie on the perilous journey, as she turns out to be no ordinary girl. Immune to the fungal infection, Ellie holds the key to a vaccine. The journey leads to dark confrontations with both humans and monsters, but also sparks a crucial friendship between two lonely people who have no one but each other in a harsh world where affection is scarce and where it's hard to know who to trust.

The game's creator Neil Druckmann has been involved in the creation of the TV series, created together with Craig Mazin, who was behind the acclaimed TV series Chernobyl. Both Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey have received huge acclaim for their portrayals of two of the most beloved game characters of all time.
