On the stage and on their self-titled debut album, Tennessee's The Katie's rock with a blend of raw energy, pop craft and thunderous power. The Katie's release their Elektra debut by way of hometown label Spongebath Records (who have already had success with the band Self). Melodic without being too sweet, The Katie's rock out without losing any subtlety. Highlights include the stomping, anthemic 1st single, "Noggin' Poundin'," as well as the harmonious "Drowner" and "Girl."
