Hailed by CMJ as "one of the new year's brightest new stars," Austin, Texas-based David (pronounced Dah-VEED) Garza is now ready to fulfill that promise with his sparkling Lava/Atlantic debut. Drawing on a melting pot of influences that range from Prince to Donovan, Lee "Scratch" Perry to Beck, the singer/songwriter pitches hooky choruses and soulful vocals onto a lush acoustic backdrop in a style all his own. 1st single: "Discoball World"; other highlights include "Kinder" and "Slave."
