GI brings forth a mosaic of R&B, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop and good music. With over ten years of studio and performing experience, GI strives to further expand her musical horizons. Releasing her debut solo album, Sunrise, GI presents an array of vibrant styles aiming to attract listeners from all lights of life. Taking part in the female trio Honey Luv (formerly known as Premiere) GI has experienced worldwide recognition with Premiere's hit single "Somethin' About You" (produced by the multi-platinum production team Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy) by touring nationally. Also appearing on the famous Soul Train and BET's music video show, Teen Summit, Premiere's music has been recognized in Japan, Germany, and even held the #1 chart position in Guam for seven weeks. GI has teamed up with producer Rey Resurreccion to create this album. Having studied classical composition, African and Afro-Cuban percussion, various world instruments and styles, Rey plays an instrumental role in the birth of her release. The duo unites, ignoring all boundaries and limitations, focusing to create timeless compositions. They have chosen to take the independent route and bring real, unfiltered music to the ears of many. GI would like to take her listeners through a musical journey, a new vibe of energy, the beginning of a new day....Sunrise.
