Sigmund Organ Works I
Wimmer Heinrich
As part of Charade's Profile series, the complete works of Oskar Sigmund, whose output as a composer of mainly organ music earned him Germany's Order of Merit in 1991, are featured. On this CD, organist Heinrich Wimmer, whose efforts are focused on interpreting his former teacher's oeuvre, performs Sigmund's monumental 'Fourth Toccata and Fugue' on the great Rieger organ in Ratzeburg Cathedral.
