First Born

Danish born Marc Rune (aka Big Creek Slim) has made a series of outstanding rural rooted recordings over the past few years. KEEP MY BELLY FULL from 2015 was one of our favorites for the year and THE GREASY CHICKEN SESSIONS released by Peter Nande showed Slim's power as a solo recording artist. This new session expands the musical pallette with acoustic stand up bass, harp, sax & banjo. Six originals in the spirit of the masters as well as covers of Charlie Patton- Roosevelt Sykes, Sonny Boy Williamson and Bo Carter (a chilling version of I've Got Blood In My Eyes For You) make this a strong contender for album of the year
